From no website to 2,500+ phone calls

Liz and Ed Wallace had no website, no Google listing and no marketing. Since early 2022 we've run all of it for them, so they can just install. In the last two years alone that's brought in 2,517 calls.

Where they started

A good business that nobody could find

Liz and Ed are a husband-and-wife team. They supply and install frameless shower screens and glass splashbacks across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. Ed wanted to keep working, but making the screens, installing them and chasing new work was too much.

They had no website, no Google Business Profile and no reviews, and they weren't running ads. When someone in Newcastle searched Google for a shower screen, the work went to their competitors.

In Ed's words

“I'm not a paid actor. This is from my heart in saying, thanks Zac, you are a lifesaver.”

“He's changed my whole business for me.”

“All we do is install. It's so easy.”

“I've got time to play. I've got time to work.”

“If you want to grow your business, get on with Zac. He'll take you in the right direction.”

What we did

We took the whole job off their plate

Liz and Ed have never had to touch the marketing. We run all of it, and they answer the phone and do the installs.

1

Built the website around what customers search for

We built newcastleshowerscreens.com with a page for each service: frameless screens, 10mm glass, fluted glass and glass splashbacks. Each page targets the words people actually type into Google.

2

Set up and optimised the Google Business Profile

We set up the profile with the right categories, service area, photos and video, so it could compete in the map pack: the top three map results Google shows above the websites.

3

Did the local SEO and citations

We listed the business on Australian directories with matching details and built local authority. This lifted both the map listing and the website up the rankings.

4

Posted to the listing every day

Fresh posts and photos go up daily, which keeps the profile active in Google's eyes and gives customers recent work to look at.

5

Built up five-star reviews

Happy customers were asked for reviews. Today the profile has a 5.0 rating.

6

Handled the tech: call tracking and automations

A CallRail number on the website and listing logs every call, so Liz and Ed can see exactly what the marketing brings in. Automations handle the follow-up.

The results

Around 100 calls a month, every month

The first calls came within a couple of months of launch in 2022, and volume kept growing until it peaked in 2024. Call tracking started in September 2024, and every call since is logged below. The quietest full month still brought in 66 calls.
